Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

Wish the spinoff was Arya's adventure. Definitely the only good thing to come of the finale.

At least it's done now!

Re: Diablo III

I played a bit Saturday afternoon and a bit more Sunday and am still not 70. As usual!

Went with a Crusader because the Thorns thing is always hilarious. :)

Insane result on every level.

Bill Shorten's announced he'll be stepping down as leader, which is about all that makes sense tonight.

If you've not voted yet, you still have time! Go vote!

Probably watching ABC News coverage tonight. Antony Green is bloody hopeless but their hosts and guests seem minimally annoying. If anyone wants to recommend another channel I'm all ears!

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

To clear up the scare mongering in that Mark Humphries video: You have to number at least 6 boxes above the line, or at least 12 below the line. If you vote below the line you don't need to number them all, using up all the pencils, you can stop at 12. But polling booth staff will sharpen or provide...

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

After all Daenerys has seen and done and all the people she's lost, she loses her mind over Missandei? Oh, the Targaryen curse, blah blah blah. Feels like all the work she's done for seven seasons has been a waste because they want Jon Snow on the throne, so suddenly she's the mad queen. And Cersei...

Hot water heater. And two men to install it. Am quite poor now, but at least I won't smell. :)

Looking very awesome. No more loot ninjas and the addition of level balancing should make playing in groups wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more attractive.

Re: What are you watching?

Thor Ragnarok is utterly fantastic. Very worth watching in its own right.

As for what I'm watching, the Highlander TV series! It's on Amazon Prime Video, so I'm finally watching the whole series. :)

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

They had to leave some survivors to kill off in the final three episodes. :D I do wonder what they're going to do to fill out three episodes now though. If they're still going after Cersei it's a straight march to Kings Landing with whatever forces they have left. Unless they're going to retreat to ...

On a more hilarious note... https://twitter.com/rachelbaxendale/status/1121211665716920320 Can't read the article (subscriber only) but it's another Section 44 breach, this time two people who're bankrupt and thus ineligible to run have turned in nomination forms for this election. Rod Culleton is e...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

It seems like there's no point in dumping money into tech which is almost certainly not futureproof and would need to be upgraded once the new tech comes along anyway for much less cost. It's thinking like that that ruined the NBN. Public transport is another great target for turning to electric. T...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

You can avoid the charging time issue by doing a battery swap instead. It will depend on what technology companies end up supporting. So you're proposing I put 300kg of batteries in my boot and pull the car half apart to void my warranty by changing them myself? The way it's done in current models ...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

What I would like to see is some sort of combo/hybrid technology where the car can take fuel and electricity, but instead of the electric drive acting as a suppliment to the petrol drive, it acts as the primary drive and the petrol acts as a backup generator that kicks in when the electric charge r...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

My old man just laughed and said "Well it's a good thing we sold the ute and use a van". LOL  The Liberals still seem to think we'll be using petrol forever. The sooner we start moving to electric the better prepared we'll be, it's crazy watching them talk about it like not doing it is a viabl...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

I did Vote Compass and got more Social Conservative than the Liberals. This version is further off than it's ever been, in my opinion.

Check the details afterwards for links to what various parties have said on issues that matter to you though, that's a bit more useful than the dots.
