Re: PC powers-down the powers-up again on startup

What wattage is your PSU :?: What are your systems specs :?: Could be pointed out to make sure you had a powerful enough PSU in there in the first place. Simply a 400W PSU doesn't put out 400W to your system, it puts out about 360W as most PSU are 80% efficient and lose the other 20% to heat. Not to...

Re: PC powers-down the powers-up again on startup

Or even just a good dusting with a can of compressed air - mine was doing something similar recently, and a good clean out, and reseating RAM/GFX card did the trick. This too is a good idea, but invert the can so your spraying inert propellant on your equipment and not compressed air with moisture ...

What's best :?: I've heard these run hot and get thermally throttled, I decided to ask here as I am having difficulty finding reviews that mention temperature/performance instead of just performance... Re: PC powers-down the powers-up again on startup

Could be your PSU, did it do this from when you put the PC together or only just start doing it recently :?: I've personally had a situation on more than one occasion when the PSU after several years degraded to the point it wasn't producing enough power to run the system under load. Simply put I'd ...

Why am I not surprised from a FTTN connection.... I guess that's what I have to look forward to 2H 2019 when it finally (apparently) hits my suburb... Re: Block ads in android

I rooted the tablet with KingRoot and used the apk android version so I didn't have to use a PC. I hunted for and installed an app called AdFree and that seems to be keeping the ads at bay in Scrabble, it seems to be the version I was looking for, but just not on offer from the original website it w...

So... what is the version of the firmware you downgraded to?

I'm in the market for a Fritzbox! as my old Billion 7800N is slowly dying and I don't wanna have your issues too.

There used to be an overclocking guide for RAM on the majorgeeks website explaining everything you need to know... though it's been awhile since I looked at it. Dunno if its still there even.

When you said about quiet I looked up video's online that show testing of the sound of the various keys... in the end go into stores and try some. Something I learned when I replaced my keyboard is that I had to get used to the ergonomics of the new one, as in height, palm rest, etc

Vodafone is craptastic where I am, so is their service :!:

I cut my losses and went to Amaysim that uses the Optus network, they have been great!

Have used for both phone and Internet, but only for Internet when I was bundling my phone with Internode and everything went awry.

I use Photoshop, initially I used 4GB but have upgrade to 8GB recently. I see no appreciable difference to how it runs once it's going.
