Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Yeah I agree Brim... it's the sort of thing you need to handle in your second term or in a mid term budget. I also think rather than getting rid of them totally that maybe a $5k-$10k cap would have curbed them for the superrich tax rorting retirees while minimising impact on retirees living off $50-...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Franking credits (when paying no tax) are such a rort.... the fact that some "self-funded" retirees get more money from the government than pensioners is a national disgrace. Meanwhile these people will sit on their boats or in their tax-free million dollar mansions and tut tut how "dole bludgers" a...

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

Suppose the only way we'll ever know what could have been is if GRRM finishes the books then gets to remake the show himself. This gave me a mental picture of the show as it is but with GRRM playing all the characters  I mean that might work for some shows, but with the Stark kids growing up d...

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

I didn't get the feeling he was a prisoner on trial, I felt the lords asked to talk to Jon and Tyrion because they were surviving members of the great houses like they were, so wanted for the council to work out the way forward for Westeros. Greyworm allowed them to talk to Tyrion but not Jon.

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

I thought the last ep was fine... not amazing, but not awful. There have certainly been worse last episodes of big shows. A tricky proposition to get right I guess.

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Gutted. I really didn't see this coming. With the likely senate composition the LNP will need 5 of 6 crossbenchers to back their legislation assuming Labor and the Greens oppose said legislation which means very little contention legislation will pass. My guess is that this will be a do little to n...

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

I finally watched the episode last night after being away on business all week, preparing for the worst with all the complaints that have been circling around the internet. But I have to say I *loved* the episode. I loved it precisely for it's suddeness, all of the sudden all assumptions about heroe...

Re: Bugs and Issues

I've been playing with my friend Squiz with Moobs over the last few nights and we have noticed he gets half the xp I get, we split up and killed some identical mobs with us both at level 5 and the results are below. Moobs https://i.imgur.com/OX5VIIg.png As you can see he is getting 24xp per Zombie W...

The TV Show of What We Do In The Shadows is amazing. Even better than the movie. Although Matt Berry has never been in anything that is bad as far as I can think.

Re: Game of Thrones (Season 8) - SPOILERS

It was still enjoyable, but there were a few dumb bits Why did the Dothraki charge off into the darkness alone against a huge horde? Apart from the spectacle, they didn't seem to make an impact Daenerys landing the dragon in the middle of the enemy army, followed by staring after Jon while the drag...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

A $60,000 car that physically cannot get me from my home to my parents home even if I did want to fanny about having massive fucking breaks for charging IS a shitty product. I fail to see how that is 'nonsense' just because it doesn't align with greenie views. From a practical standpoint, it is ove...

We can't get Crossbows in NSW :/ Do you need a licence there Sath? Sorry I didn't see this reply till now... nah mate, don't need a license here, unless it's been changed recently. In 10 years time I would think electric cars will have some sort of solar power element to them as well, probably built into the paint/body of the car itself. I agree that they are not viable at the moment, especially in Australia, but this technology is advancing really quickly. Even if they do tak...

Re: Federal Election May 18, 2019!

Check the details afterwards for links to what various parties have said on issues that matter to you though, that's a bit more useful than the dots. I agree with this. Going through the various topics and seeing where each party stands was more useful. My dot was around the ALP which I call bullsh...
