I doubt they'll pay, or that I'll pay that much anyway - but for legal proceedings the police needed evidence of the damage that was done.. as it is they're being charged with:

Possession with Intent
Affray
Malicious Damage

They'd all be Centrelink scrubs anyway to be honest.

Even if the damage was only $150, I pretty well never expect to see a cent of the money - the reality is that they're a bunch of dole bludging, drug fucked houso's who haven't worked for a single thing in their lives. That's why they kick over $20,000 motorcycles, because they don't understand nor care about the value of other people's property. So no, we'll never see any of that money, but one of the benefits of being in a MC is that we'll never pay that much either. The brothers are well looked after.

I've had a few drinks so maybe I'm misreading this or skipped some comments. They're charging you for a hex nut?

Just as bad as lawyers charging by every 6 minutes or for each phone call or email. Do ISPs still charge businesses by the email these days?

Seems reasonable to itemise parts tbh. And the prices are negligible in the bill. Given that nuts and washers aren't free, do you expect them to give them away? Or would it be better to obscure such things by "parts and labour" being one big number?

Fair point. I've just never noticed such small items being listed on invoices before.

Suppose it's better they break it right down rather than just say "miscellaneous" and lump a heap of stuff under that category.

$2.80 just seemed a bit pricey for a washer... unless they needed some very specialised type of washer.

Yeah, I know it's $2.80 out of a $1k+ invoice. But to the uninformed it does make one think are they overcharging anything else?

They probably went a bit more detailed because I needed that as a damage report to give to the Police as well, plus, I asked them to price it as if their slowest, stupidest apprenteice would be doing the work

Cops are sneaky though, they only want my statement to support the Affray charge, not the mal damage

Also it's a Harley dealership, so the answer is yes  BUT they do have very good service.

Ah, OK. That makes sense if they're an official dealer.

My last service I took back to Holden since they did a thorough job with a previous issue. But what should have been only $300 turned into $1300 as they charge an arm and a leg for brake pads, air con clean and headlight replacement. I just didn't have any more free time to dick around. I can't fault the quality of their service though (not just that they identified the issue whilst a third party service center couldn't but right down to the shuttle bus close to work) so I can understand where you're coming from Disco.

EDIT: This reminds me that I need to replace my car battery which is around 58% capacity. Thinking I should call up a Marshalls sometime.

With the help of some friends and a bit of a clean/polish, she's looking really good now! Installed a new sissy bar, and I can't speak highly enough of this spray on meguires polish I have, makes the paint come up like nothing else.

I remember taking my sister for a ride on my bike 20 years ago. She's light as a feather and I accelerated away from some lights and I swear for 1/2 a second I thought she'd fallen off. Scared the crap out of me.

Keep the "Sissy bar". :D

Hope your Mum enjoys NZ. Only been there once but very picturesque.

I've always felt like I would slide off without it, I'd just rather the peace of mind that there's something there stopping me from sliding backwards.

There is a video of a lady where this happens - I won't link it but she ended up being OK.

I'm not a Harley lover but I have to admit your bike looks nice. If I was to get a cruiser something like that would fit right in.

I rode pillion on the back of my friends bike a while ago and boy is that scary. It feels like you're sitting on the boot of a car while it's traveling at speed.

So this is a bit weird, but in November 2016 I joined the Reddit Secret Santa and sent a Fallout toy to some kid in Trinidad & Tobago, and promptly forgot all about it.. until today, when it turned up, in it's original wrapping, over 12 months later, on my doorstep. Some poor kid probably thinks he got jipped in a Secret Santa exchange!

I've only ever ridden pillion so I have nothing to compare it to, but having said that I've only ever ridden pillion with people I trust as well.

Only person I have ever been on the back of their bike was my older brother... and that has been his Aprilia RS250 and Honda CBR600...
I can attest to the Honda doing 220km/h with a passenger.. and that he was good enough to scrape the pegs on the Aprilia around corners.
That Aprilia was awesome little bike though, the get up and go was amazing.

That said, I need to get my bike license...

Went on the back of my uncles bike in Greece where road rules and speed limits seem to not apply. Ate many bugs that evening
