A combo of 2 hours in a dark room, valium, codeine and paracetamol has temporarily rectified mine.

The health issues continues today. Right calf muscle has cramped up badly. Can't point my toes up or put much weight on the right leg. Took the car to get serviced as planned. The service center can get me home but I'll need to uber it back to the service center. It'll be my first uber ride that I've ordered too!

My overnight volunteer for Saturday night has cancelled their shift because they've "just realised" they were rostered for the same night as our Christmas Party (even thought they agreed to do that date, are a non-drinker and would be able to be at the party for 2 hours before heading out to the House to start their shift).

My chances of finding someone else to volunteer that night are slim to none, so it's likely that I'm going to miss attending the party with my team because we have families booked in over the weekend and I can't leave the House unattended. My boss with blow her lid if I'm not at the party as she feels (and I agree) that it's important to have management in attendance.

Feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Roster every one on for 30min increments and make it a non drinking event until a person has had their shift.

Sounds like a great idea, until you remember they all work for us for free and being an asshole means they quit and you have no one.

All good, my Sunday night person just agreed to do Saturday night.

Worse case scenario, I'll be at work from Sunday 6pm to 5pm Monday, and probably with a hangover.

Does anyone else seriously fucking limp through December physically and emotionally, or is that just me?

Like, fuck you 2018, I'm done with your shit already.

Oh yeah, December is that time where you know the year is ending, you know there are holidays coming (Most places close down over christmas/ new years). As well as the stress that general Christmas brings to lots of people (myself included, I hate the pressure)

Also tooth now fixed (again)... trying another filling after the old one was removed. Looks like a chunk of the back of my tooth fell off leaving the old filing loose. Hopefully the new one works a bit better at protecting what is left of the tooth. Otherwise I might be missing a left of front tooth for a while. As a replacement false tooth is expensive...

My boss starts to freak out at this time of the year.. he's forever asking "Whats happening", and at this time of the year the answer is usually "not a lot" lol

Canberra always slows to a crawl in December, which suits me well. It's the time of year i can just relax.

Though this year I haven't gotten my work situation sorted out yet, so that's making me a little stressed/ nervous.

It'd be good if I could too, my boss struggles without forward momentum but there is nothing we can do about it, the building industry just does its thing at this time of the year.

as always, its the last month of the year we cram more work in than the average preceeding 3months.
REALLY looking forward to a break.

i also put a chunk of a pine splinter into my arm and got 4 stitches after the doc had to pull it out by cutting it big.

MT is at least physically limping through December then. Hope it heals reasonably well by Xmas mate.

At financial planners but 30min early... And there's no cafe around that is open and I'm also on a busy road inhaling fumes.

Apparently McDonalds is "bringing back" the McRib. I don't actually remember it ever existing in Australia, but it did remind me of this video

I remember the McRib. Found it a bit lacklustre at the time. I was expecting a bigger, succulent Burger.
