From what I've read it was a great fight that showcased the best of boxing with horrible judging that showcased the worst of boxing

After any fight there are always going to be issues, IMO the winner was declared correctly

If anyone could do it, it's Whittaker. He's a well-spoken, humble kid, does a lot of charity work, and is an all round good dude. Reading around the various MMA sites today, what strikes me is MMA fans seem to have a lot of respect for him. Being he's only 26 he could end up being one of the UFC's biggest stars, let alone here in Oz. Word is Dana is considering Perth for a PPV near the end of the year or early next year, with Whittaker vs Bisping headlining.

It really bothers me that the champ has a southern cross tattoo on his chest

I've been pretty much avoiding the press conferences for this, I'll proably watch them the morning of the fight to get hyped without the risk of over hype

I fully expect the press conferences to be 10x better than the fight, still going to drop $50 on it tho

Brock Lesnar is back in the USADA testing pool for UFC, reports on my wrestling sites is that he has told WWE he has no plans to resign after Wrestlemania next April when his contract is up, we've heard that before but then WWE dropped a fat sack of dollar dollar bills and a permission slip to let him fight Mark Hunt in UFC, because he retired from MMA 7 months into his 1 year suspension for doping he still has to wait 5 months before he can fight again meaning mid December, so I could see WWE dumping another fat sack and giving him permission to fight in December if he agrees to a contact extension, its not like WWE has much affect on his training he has had 3 matches since November last year, 4 if you count his appearance in the royal rumble and combined I'd say those all add up to about 15 mins in ring time most of that being his most recent match, his November match with Goldberg legit lasted just over 1 minute.

Was there ever a wash up after the Hunt V Lesnar fight? All I can remember is Hunt being very angry and active on social media about what he would do about it.

Then again after that KO in the Overeem fight he might not even remember

Hunt is suing the UFC and Lesnar, arguing that the intentionally bent the rules to allow Lesnar to fight while on drugs. He has cited the previous cover-up of the Vitor test results and appears to have a pretty good case.

It is pretty bullshit that a guy doesn't make weight and 20% of his purse goes to his opponent but a guy gets busted doping and apart from a USADA ban which given how much Brock was paid for the fight and that he was in the main event of WWE Summer Slam the next month had no real effect on him, has nothing happen to him, I figured UFC would have just paid Hunt the same they paid Lesnar just to shut him up, it would have been much easier and quieter.

http://rankingmma.com/ufc-rankings/heavyweight/

But who does he fight? I wouldn't put it past Dana to give him the title shot... *logs onto twitter to follow Mark Hunt*

I would like to see what a healthy Lesnar vs Overeem fight would be like, the last time they fought was only a few months after Brock had 12 inches of his intestines removed cause they were busted open and leaking shit into his body... 6 months after that I'd probably still be lying in bed watching cartons and sobbing.

McGregor is savage

Open the tweet to see the whole thread. Watson played for 5 NBA teams. McGregor found the jersey for the team he was playing for when he slept with Mayweather's wife

Still haven't ordered the Jones/DC fight, probably won't until Sunday morning and I've heard Jones isn't going to take any more piss tests

No I mean when they are all done and cleared so I know he won't get pulled and we get DC vs someone who doesn't care about their win loss record and just wants a quick payday

Yeah I thought they should have stopped the fight 5-6 seconds earlier than it ended, Cormier was KTFO... still makes me wonder about UFC though, how often is it that their main events are blockbuster?
