2017 AFL and Womens AFL

Post by Mini » 03 Feb 2017, 17:17

As I just realised that the womens pre(?) season starts tonight I thought we probably should have a thread for talking (And probably tipping soon too)

Who is going to watch the first womens match tonight?
Will be interesting to see how it all goes

Go Melbourne!

5pm Sunday night is a bit of a rubbish time to go to the footy though, even if it is free to get in. I'll have to find a way to watch it.

Oh sounds like every Round 1 game is also live on the AFL website, so that's handy

Well Collingwood got wrecked, hard to tell how threatening Carlton is, competition wise, till we see more games

Yeah, Pies looked a bit in awe of the situation... will be interesting to see how things go from here.
I'm sure the first year will be very up and down for all teams

Carlton were very strong but it was good to watch; looking forward to the other games this weekend and from there we'll have a better picture of how the teams are going.

Woo bring on the 2017 season!

But I'm having a football first world problem I'm not sure if I want to wear my 2017 members gear, I've encountered 3 fair weather Bulldogs supports since we won the grand final, 1 guy who I've know for 10 years, have work with for 4 and not once did he ever mention the Bulldogs or anything about AFL at work until after the Grand Final and then he was the biggest fan in the world and even tried to act like I was the fair weather supporter.

Mate I had my whole desk decked out in red white and blue for the entire finals series and I wore my shirts to work every day in the week before the Grand Final, I've got a collections of lanyards that come with my membership each yeah hanging on a shelf...

Just hang your membership lanyards up on your desk so he sees them. Then get him to prove the same.... what a dick.

I talked about doing it last year but then never got around to it but this year I've made a second footy tipping account to tip the entire year in advance and then see how my start of season predictions actually pan out.

in case anyone wants to join me I made a separate comp so we aren't shitting up the main comp with our clones, assuming its going ahead this year,

you can't see the profile picture very well:

Actually no... I just don't sign up...
I really do need to create a spam account... maybe something other than gmail so I can leave it logged in for when I need it...

cant you just use the same account or cant you put different tips in different comps

edit: seems like the tips stick with all comps, oh well i'm not too fussed with that :)

I always have high hopes up until either we lose to Carlton Round 1 or when we lose at some point first few rounds... then it's all, oh yeah this is the Richmond of last year :P
