A Nintendo 64 emulator has surfaced on the Xbox Games Store. Whether or not it will stay up is the question.

Of course, the emulator is most likely going to be taken down by Nintendo. They aren’t going to let their copyrighted games be played on a system that they have nothing to do with producing.
Yeah it's not going to hang around long, considering they are selling it. I'll be rather surprised if Nintendo don't shut this sucker down.

I just wish they'd release the original Pokemon/Mario games on iOS, I think they'd make an absolute killing

Yeah I'm not an expert on business but I don't know why they don't do this, the Android app store is full of emulators and I'm sure most people would rather just buy the game they want then have to download an emulator, find a rom, load it up, have it crash, find a different rom, realize they downloaded the french version, find a final rom that works.

My only guess would be they want people to buy their hardware to play those games and hopefully buy new titles as well. The 3DS is finally starting to get a decent collection of games in their virtual console but not enough to make someone who doesn't already own a 3DS pick one up.

Hell a retro gaming pack on iOS would be the shit, I'd love to play the old games I loved.. Wonderboy, Mario, Pokemon etc., and you can do that on Android but not iOS. Just seems like they're missing out on a huge volume of sales of people who wouldn't buy a 3DS, but would pay $5 or $10 for a retro game.
