Show us your latest purchase - May 2016

Post by 10dollars » 01 May 2016, 23:20

So I decided I'd buy some stuff...

Pro tech toolkit 2016 edition:

I also spent way too much money at ModDIY.
Just a bunch of cable management stuff and some brushes to clean fans with.

^^ Same. Got the daughter a single one last year and it was shockingly good, so replaced our ~8 year old $2500 mattress with a $250 mattress and I'm sleeping better -_-

Bingo. Cost $250, weighs about 45kgs and fits in a sedan fairly easily. Seriously not bad for the price, even if you only get 3 years out of it it's substantially cheaper than the alternatives. Our mattress has been shagged (excuse the pun) for about 2 years and just couldn't justify the $1k+ bill on a single income... so this wins.

That is the one Disco... Came in a fairly small box, unwrapped it and let it expand.
I'm happy with it, nice to have a Queen bed back again...

That was on Saturday, I was surprised there were any left by the time I got myself out of bed and into Aldi at 9.30 to be honest...
All the actual beds were gone, with a few people standing out the front of the store staring at there new boxes... not knowing how they are getting them home.

Someone should start a small business just going to Aldi and offering to deliver goods home, advertise on Facebook... would make a bit of coin...

I find that whenever I go to Aldi for one of their specials they usually don't have it in that particular store, but I've had some good deals there.

Interesting to hear that they're an okay mattress, ours could do with replacing but we weren't looking forward to dropping a few grand on a new one

Pre ordered it late last year and it showed up while we were away

For those who don't watch the show they have a burger of the day board that is always got some pun title based on whats in the burger of the day

Image

Some dedicated fan started a blog where he made his interpretations of those burgers and the shows writers got it touch with him about making an actual book.

Tomorrow night I'll attempt 'Baby You Can Chive My Car'.

That's the kind of couch I want, but I really don't have room for it, would have to move tv antenna outlet and rearrange the whole area. The space isn't really suited for it....but be damned if I don't want one anyway
