Homage to Mellie's game discussion thread.
This thread is like the random thoughts thread but solely about game related conversation. Played something amazing lately? Post it here. Hate it? Warn us.

Tossing up whether to buy Need for Speed on PS4 or not, PC Version isn't out until next year, and I've been dying for a new NFS Underground (I know it's not exactly the same, but it's very close.)

There is only one reason I've held off and that is because I want to see if you can stop the camera doing that turny thing.

My son wants a WiiU. Should I submit (he'll only play mario kart and Smash brothers regulary if the Wii is any indication) or talk him into buying a real console. Those pokemon amiibos are cute though

Oh he's 8 if that makes a difference

Played Dungeon Defenders 2 with my brother while he was over tonight...
Very different playing it while he is in the same room and we can talk, usually we are attempting to type and that doesn't work very well.
We decided that with the amount of free calls we get these days we may as well just use our phones on speaker mode.

Had some damn good fun, and I think I talked him into buying Vermintide with me, now I just need to find the money for it.

+1 This, I love my Wii U, had it since launch and the first year was pretty dull but now they have a really good line up, if you like 1st party nintendo games that is, plus the off TV play on the gamepad means you still get the TV.

Although I'm not sure what the future holds for it with the NX console thingy

Maybe don't buy it, looks like it's a stinker

Well maybe not a stinker, but it has bad FMV (unfortunately not so bad it's funny, just bad) and the driving is just forgettable and it sounds like people are somewhat unhappy with the DLC set up.

I've been playing KOTOR when I've had the time. It's basically exactly what I expected it to be, a good Bioware RPG. What it isn't, is a Jedi lightsaber combat sim; to get that fix I might have to go back to Jedi Academy or something.

I thought there was no DLC for NFS? At least not paid.

I just want a new NFS Underground, and this is the closest thing to it. I've tried to play The Crew a few times but I just don't like it.

I saw some friends on facebook talking about NFS and was like woo!

Went on to Origin and PC is out in Spring next year :'( ahh well at least that saves me money. Perhaps by the time its out on PC I can save up for a wheel and some proper driving games haha.

I have no idea why I mentioned DLC, as I clearly remember reading articles about the devs saying there would be no DLC for the game =S

I keep going back and playing NFS Hot Pursuit on PS3 and am surprised every time that I can still easily find people playing online. Probably remains my favourite NFS game.

Maybe we could organise some mp nights on PC?

I remember having a great time with the Cat and Mouse mode back when it first released.

Saw some gameplay footage of it and it looks fucking woeful. Wooden movement, plastic graphics, definitely giving it a miss. If it ain't Criterion, I ain't interested.
