Good work boo. I need to get back to logging next week, I logged sometimes this week but not every day. Fairly confident most days were on target though except for maybe Wednesday.

Yesterday was a write off with the sickness and injury - I only managed ~5300 steps and ate too much. Today I'm back walking again, and trying to eat reasonably well (except the leftover pide for breakfast- so greasy), and I'm hoping to resume running again tomorrow if my ankle doesn't show any issues.

Yeah. I’ve drank a lot of wine. Rather suspect today is fucked, in more ways than one.

My Friday wasn't amazing, but in summary I had a goal to work out 6 times and I hit 5, so that's decent.

13000 steps yesterday and no ill effects on the ankle.
Didn't track eating and drinking, so I'm guessing I'm somewhat over.

I just read an interesting article where someone saw a dietcian and instead of keeping a food diary the dietician got her clients to text her a photo of every meal and snack they atr. She provided daily feedback on their choices (encouragement for good choices, suggestions on how to improve the meal if it wasn’t quite hitting the mark). Seems like a decent concept to me.

Sounds expensive ^

Also sounds like it's doomed to fail, because people don't get fat because they eat 3 shitty meals a day... they get fat because they eat 3 shitty meals a day and snack and dont think any of it counts. Its probably easier to be honest with yourself than with a dietician.

Don't disagree with me, dickhead

It's not much about being honest, it's more the ability to get that iediate feedback on a meal so you can make adjustments on the fly. Also sending photos would give more ability for specific feedback feedback as it's more clear/honest as a photo than a diary note.

I honestly don't think it's that hard to make good choices on what to eat - the rules of eating well are pretty well established at this point. And with the range of apps these days for diaries, it's fairly easy to leverage that existing knowledge in the choices we make.

Though I wouldn't mind having an expert tailoring a diet that would allow for weight loss while stepping up the training. I'm reading a lot to try to figure this out for myself, but I'm not sure how effective I ask at it. Weight loss is one thing, and a diet for training is easy enough, but together? NFI.

It's not hard making good choices, but for me it's hard sticking them consistently.. I'm not even going to count how many calories I ate last night while I was, uh, relaxing.

But it was one day, back on the wagon.

A bit pissed with our scales this morning, weighed myself 3 times in a row and the variation between the 3 readings was 1.3kg - yet Disco weighed himself and got the same reading multiple times.

Decided to make a ham, turkey and salad wrap for lunch using rice mountain bread. Calories are higher than I had hoped, can see from the breakdown it's the dressing and the cheese which together account for almost 50% of the calories in my lunch, so will need to look for lighter alternatives to switch them out with. Typically like to keep lunch around the 300cal mark.

Yesterday:

After dropping 3kg really quickly, my weight hasn't shifted for over a week. I know I had a couple of "fuck it" days last week, so I'm hoping to be back in the rhythm of things.

Life is good in my world, low weight of 117.2kg recorded - I had hoped to hit 115kg before the end of October but that seems a bit unlikely - not impossible, but unlikely.

That's ok, cracking on and staying under my calorie target every day this week, plus continued by running and jiujitsu.

Yesterday:
- 17,500 steps
- 3.2km low intensity jog
- 2km brisk walk
- 1:00 plank, 20 pushups, 20 Russian twists, 2×15 bicep curls 7.5kg.
- under calorie target

Then the scales this morning and the weight is starting to go down again. 3.5kg lady over the last month now.

Yesterday:
- 20000 steps
- 5km medium intensity jog (fast finish: 25min@140bpm, 12min@160bpm)
- multiple brisk walks
- probably under my calorie goal (takeaway thai stir fry for dinner)

Was down again on the scales this morning, so I'm encouraged by that. Usually the scales are up if I eat out (I think it's the salt content)

French tasting menu for lunch sounds nice!

I'll be back on track this week after the clusterfuck last week with my bosses mum dying, was too busy and stressed to really track anything.

I'll go walking in the mornings when Disco runs, and we'll lift x3 as well.
