:O Take it back, cooking games are amazing!

Also... I love secret santa, I'm definitely in!
LOL, Kharis is just shit-stirring my husband but he's not biting... because I refuse to get my own steam account, as we share a PC so it seems pointless to switch accounts all the time. I looooooove cooking games and play them all the time, but to Disco's entire friends list it looks like he's the one with the girly cooking game addiction

My aim will be to try and avoid the issues that arose from last year's event…

From memory there were more than a few that didnt give a gift yet still received. How did you resolve it?
Excuse me? Everyone received ample giftage thank you very much and no one received anything unless they gave a gift.

I do not support freeloaders. Not only that but the spare games were handed out based on how much the giver received in relation to how much they gave.

I had many spread sheets with ratios and estimates and everything…
Oh, i do apologise. Must have been thinking of something else. No offense was intended! Everyone appreciated the effort on your part.

My budget means I will be staying out this year, but I've half a dozen or so "bargain bin" steam gifts in my inventory that can be thrown is as stocking filler to distribute when the times comes.

Just to remind you all, the stuff about posters of less than fifty posts and veterans is because, every year, there is a crap storm by certain people who believe new people should not participate. I was making a point that it is the GoN, and secret Santa, veterans that were dragging their feet, and not the ring-ins and thus, everyone should be allowed to join in…
And it was a good damn time to be giving. And welcome back our blue text over lord!! Queue internet rage. :D

Well I guess it all helps make the new house look lived in, for when Santa arrives :) Don't want him coming along and thinking nobody is home.

Looks like you're out mate :P

I will have to see what my money situation is like closer to the date. But I MAY be able to participate :) Let us know when the sign ups commence and I'll see.

EDIT: And the posts in this thread are the reason for certain threads not counting to post counts as they're considered "spam"

@PinothyJ Is there a "Santa" Steam account? If so, and if you are in control of it, at some point between now and Christmas could you send me a Steam friend add with it, and I will send over any Steam Gifts I might have (all just little crappy stocking filler games) to add to the present pool.

I need advice on when to open it up and when to start gifting. Last year there were people who flip out that the thanksgiving sale had started and the SS had not started yet and that they were running out of time to buy with no sales. Or something. Straight up, you should have a look at some of the conversation I had with people over PMs.

I want to nail down these finer details before I launch this year's SS so details never change (EVER!).

Which reminds me: will there be an announcement on the PA news section like the GoN old days?

Get excited peeps ^^…

As a newcomer, I don't actually know what the 'rules' of Secret Santa are here, so it would be good if the proposed rules could be posted for viewing/comment?

Either way, it would be good if it could be organised in time for the sale, because who doesn't love a sale? Disco & I need gifting to commence on or before 15th December because we're heading to Sydney on 16th and will be overseas until after Christmas :)

I think rule 1 is that whoever gets Disco is going to end up giving him a cooking game to keep that joke going.
