Same, though, I really wish that the team AI would be kind enough to drive once in a while so I can be the one to fire the minigun. At least their aim is decent.

Hopefully players with the DLC can host a game and non-DLC owning players can join if the players are friends.

It's gonna be so satisfying to explore...

Part of me is wishing they'd do a "Holiday in Bolivia" DLC where you have no enemies and no guns... you get X days to travel the open world, you start with limited funds and need to travel from down to town doing odd jobs to get money to continue traveling. Vehicles have limited fuel to get you from one town to the next. They add in lots of NPCs to meet. You have a camera and get to take photos along the way.

The fact that a few of you seem to be buying in to this game sorta suggests that it might be worth buying. I'll have to check it out or find a friend who owns it and have a go for myself.

For me the fact that there's a pre-order bonus mission and a series of other bonus missions for those of who participated in the beta and play the full game by the end of the month (aka purchase and run the game by the end of the month) helped seal the deal. That and the Gold edition is priced fairly atm. If the game takes off then I suspect it'll go back to RRP for a while and from the buzz on other forums, there's definitely a good amount of interest.

I knew I was gonna buy the game so it just made more sense to do it now even if I'm only gonna be able to play for 3-4hrs each week.

Game is playable in 2hrs and 15min or so on uplay. I'm still in the middle of preloading so no Wildlands for me tonight. Plus I'm hitting the sack by 10:30pm so have fun to those who will be up late.

I was just looking at the ingame store microtransactions... pretty sure the season pass will give me credit to spend here. Damn Ubisoft is playing casino now... giving complimentary chips and expecting me to get addicted.

Has anyone been able to create a Taskforce in the Ghost Recon Network?

https://ghostreconnetwork.ubi.com/en-AU/task-force

Figure we may as well create a Player Attack task force... the name sounds suitably aggressive enough too - lol

Mine is telling me to buy it... so I can't see anything there yet.
Not sure if that is related to the fact I haven't started the game yet or what...

I've started the game this morning and it's still telling me to buy it. Guess I'll wait till I get home and give it another shot. Probably just teething problems with day 1 launch. Or it's waiting till it goes live in the US.

On another note, all the bonus guns suck... I'm still using the stock ones as I prefer to have silencers and the bonus ones (despite the SIG556 having a scope) can't equip them.

Task Force is kinda like a clan I think. The Gold edition came with some extra emblems to use for the Task Force so I'm trying to get one for PA set up. Dunno how it facilitates passing leadership around.

28% of download completed here. I'll try and see if any of you are up for a multiplayer game some time. It's my first introduction to any Tom Clancy games, the themes and open world environment is quite appealing to me. Hopefully the game lives up to expectations. :D

Ghost Recon Network working now for me. I've created a Player Attack taskforce that's open for all to join:

https://ghostreconnetwork.ubi.com/en-US ... yer-Attack

I'll change the emblem once I log in. Gonna have dinner first.

Joineded the Task Force for whatever it's worth. In-game it said I was accepted but the website hasn't updated yet. Website seems a bit clunky but has stats so I am pleased. :)

Tempted to splurge on this in the store:

Promoted to Officer.

I dunno what rights that grants you but damned if I'm gonna be the only one doing admin work - lol

Trying to promote Mini as well but keep getting kicked out of website. It seems to be going through a lot of teething issues. But I like the stats too.

EDIT: Promoted Mini now to Officer.

Had a blast tonight with 1 of my mates, now to make a second character for single player and actually listening to the story...

Well, if you do cave in, this seems to be the cheapest place to get a uplay key...

https://uk.gamesplanet.com/game/tom-cla ... 1?ref=itad

Be sure to join their 'for UNCUT' steam group for a further 3% off (link to steam via the account settings on the website too). About AU$55. Don't get the Deluxe ed, it's not worth it.

I need to have a chat with someone over the GR Network (there's a web based chat function) to unlock a set of ingame headsets... dunno why I need em. I don't even wear headsets in game - lol

Also trying to tag 10 friends for another unlock... I don't have 10 friends in uplay - lol

According to Gamespot, after 10hrs play, only 20% of the map has been unlocked. They seem to be going along the critical path of the story so with side mission and general mucking about, it could be a lot longer.

Did they tweak the helicopter handling again? It seemed to really want to go for a dive into the hillside last night. :(

Worst helicopter handling of any game ever, dunno how they expect you to use the miniguns.
