From more leaked info, it looks like Wildlands is getting at least 2 PvP game modes: the 4v4 team deathmatch mode, and a bigger scale objective based mode with classes. The later sees you fighting over control of supplies. As long as your character doesn't keep comment on getting in the rebels' good books every time you collect supplies, I'm up for objective based mode which will hopefully be up to 20vs20 in size.

Fallen Ghost details. Looks like Ubi may have listened a bit to the Narco Road complaints. As there are new skills and weapons and this looks to be a genuine continuation of the story.

Yeah the c4 one will be annoying. Choppers I can shoot out of the air with varying success with another chopper. Will put a bit of time into the shotty challenge. I need to get my shotty kills up.

Yeah, this week's challenges take a bit more time

For the first one, F.O.B. OSO HORMIGUERO has a bunch of heavies in it but there's a jammer that needs to be deactivated if you wanna scout it properly. You shouldn't need to deal with the jammer though. I'd take out the snipers and head up to a tower to scout the enemy's paths. Plant C4 somewhere where a few heavies will cross that's within throwing distance of a tower (ideally one of the ones close to the road entrance). Lob a lure from the tower onto the C4 and take out a few heavies in one go. Then get more heavies to come at you. Lob C4 down the flight of stairs and take out heavies as they come up. Not sure if you'll hit 8 in one go from this base as I took out a few heavies in other areas on the way here.

After you take out the heavies, you should have attracted enough reinforcements that you can pick off 25 unidad soldiers with the sniper rifle. If you've set up at a front tower at this base, you'll have good line of sight of the road and be able to take out unidad soldiers as they come around.

Good old F.O.B. SERPIENTE in Flor de Oro has a SAM site that's easy to get to. Spawn an amoured SUV and drive in there gun blazing to pick off a few enemies and you can walk out and blow up the SAM. Just remake the game a few times. You respawn in the nearby town so it's easy to get back to the SAM. Repeat twice and the MK249 America is all yours!

Now to work out how to do those helicopter kills...

And Taskforce challenge done!

Community Challenge at 112,220 of 150k shotty kills so we'll probably pop the reward sometime over the weekend.

Community Challenge dinged this week. KT Neptune paint looks pretty cool.

Yeti has also been found...

Not quite what I was expecting, nor is the reward what I was expecting but it's a nice addition none the less.

Well, this is something different for this week's challenge...

Image

Here's the guide to the 5 locations...

Post with map locations etc...

https://www.reddit.com/r/wildlandsyeti/ ... all_clues/

Solo task 2 and 3 guide as per the previous vid I posted. Shouldn't be hard.

That Task Force challenge though... I have no idea how you can run over the Yeti as his HTI one or two shots a chopper. I think we've got our first TF challenge that actually requires multiple players to band together. Anyone keen on doing this over the weekend?

How to run over the Yeti...

This guy tells you how to get a vehicle up there and then has trouble getting to the Yeti for most of the vid so feel free to skip ahead to the the last quarter of the vid where he shows you how to drive up to one of the locations. Still a good effort.

EDIT: Would be easy in a team of 3... one person summons, and the other two wait with their vehicle ready to run over the Yeti at each of the spawn locations.

Ha! I ran over the prick first try! It's pretty fun.

If anyone wants to give it a go some pointers...

- go prone. He can't hit you.
- spawn lots of armoured SUVs before activating. his HTI will one shot anything else. Ideally, drive one up to each location first to make it easier.
- use the rebel diversion

OK, taking down the albino monstrosity got way too addictive. The last attempt, despite having my vehicles set up perfectly, got botched up so I had to sneak another SUV onto the hill top... and as you know, these vehicles handle like crap especially on rocky terrain. Ended up having to back the SUV into the bastard which succeed despite all odds.

Fallen Ghosts comes out tomorrow for the poor saps who bought into the season pass. It is looking a lot more promising than Narco Road. The new weapons look like fun (especially for us sniper rifle enthusiasts).

UPlay has decided that it doesn't like my GR install currently...
So I have had to locate the game files and it is now verifying them. Hopefully I don't have a large download :(

Edit: Only a 5.5GB update after verification

Ugh! They've started with Season 2 already... would have thought they'd taken a pause with Fallen Ghosts out now. Anyway, here's what the challenges are:

Solo - Reward: P416 Micteca gun
- In Espiritu Santo, kill 4 Santa Blanca snipers from 100m away while stationary
- In Espiritu Santa, in Extreme difficulty, mark 4 Santa Blanca Heavies from less than 20m away without dying or using the Spotting skill in the Command Wheel
- In Monte Puncu mark Santa Blanca Veterans without shooting a single bullet or using the Spotting skill in the Command Wheel

Taskforce - Reward: Angel Wings Patch
- In any province, use a drone or bino to mark 20 Santa Blanca generators from at least 150m away

Community - Reward: Bronze paint (pretty sure I have this already)
- In any province, manually deactivate 75000 jammers

Not sure I can be bothered with these.

Loaded up Fallen Ghosts last night. Looks promising. I miss my MSR though there's a good selection of starting guns.

Don't forget to claim the special Fallen Ghosts PSG1 from the uplay rewards. Suppose to be quite good.

Nope, still trying to get through Narco Road...
But it is a hard slog to get anywhere. Might give it a go and see if it fits the game style more

Yeah, the general consensus is that the Fallen Ghost campaign is good and the new weapons and skills a good addition. It's just a shame the latter isn't added to the main campaign. I've only done the Narco Road first mission. I hate going solo.
