Twas reading through the patch notes for the recent 2.6 beta patch and...
Adventure Mode

Set Dungeons

Set dungeon monsters are now tracked on the mini-map when the dungeon begins
All Basic Tier monster kill requirements have been lowered

So the UE set dungeon might be doable for me solo now. Last time I tried it, I missed one bloody monster every time!

M6 will also be easier.

I imagine it'll have a positive effect on quite a few dungeons. I might have to master them all for those wings now... the class banners also look pretty sweet too.

From DiabloFans...
Challenge Rifts usually present a Greater Rift clear time of about 6 or 7 minutes by the original player. Since your goal is to beat their time, this means that you’ll spend maybe five minutes with that particular Challenge Rift if you're able to knock it out on your first try. For this small time investment, you’ll be rewarded with a Challenge Rift Cache. Inside of the cache are contents comparable to a full run of bounties on Torment VII. Currently on the Closed Beta, you receive 8 of each Legendary bounty material, 100-250 of each regular crafting material, 300 Blood Shards, and 4,000,000 gold. For people that don’t enjoy doing bounties, now you have another source of collecting similar rewards without traversing all of the Acts.
I think this will end up being a 'challenge of the week' type thing for most players with the potential for competitive leaderboards to grow... but yeah, at worse, it'll be a challenge of the week thing like it is in Wildlands.

Well, here's the wings that come with the Necro pack...

Image

Basically a reskinning of the wings if you master all set dungeons. Also the wings form one of the WoW CEs. At least they look cool.

Now to get me an ancient Sacred Harvester and a gift.

Got a rama ding dong gift when I popped P500... well timed. Still no ancient sacred harvester but I scored a well rolled ancient Manajuma's Carving knife so I could throw together a speed farm chicken doc of some sort... most likely a HT Garg build.

Also modified my build to be a ranged one. Given I have no ancient sacred harvester, this works well for me and the pets are good at keeping enemies away.

I really should do HC next season. I've been content to stick with normal lately.

I really should play this again... but so many other games, that coming back to a game where I am just doing the same thing over and over again isn't that interesting

It depends on what your goals are and what challenges you're after. I like all the classes and creating builds so the activity of doing rifts doesn't get too boring, esp after playing the campaign to death.

Doing HC adds to the build management factor as you can't just take a cookie cutter build as most are designed for SC play.

Of course if it's a story campaign one is after then I'd go with another game. If one's internet is laggy or if you prefer to play aggressively then HC may now be good either.

Actually the main thing that is feeling tedious is having to restart for another season. I've played 7 of 10 seasons so far. I kinda made peace with seasons but when I have over 1000 paragons in NS, and excess gear to quickly assemble a new build, it's kinda annoying now to not be using any of that.

At least I'll be hunting down all new Necro gear next season assuming they release the class on time.

I keep telling myself that it's all there for the day I have a family and can only fit in one night a week of Diablo 3 lol

Haven't had time to play or attempt a season end push on either the wiz or monk due to some termite educed house renovations :/

Getting excited for the necro tho, all the ptr testing streamers are saying good things including the classes possible inclusion in the end game meta!

I'm not all that competitive with the leaderboards... never interested me so usually I've either stopped playing at this point, only logging in casually if I have something to work on with my build still (quite evident this season with me playing HC), or I'm farming for cosmetics (which I've done with the exception of the Cosmic Wings... but farming rainbow gobs is a PITA and waste of time so I choose not to do that anymore).

Maybe they'll announce at E3? Not really their thing, but it would give them something to wave about to remind us.

Would be cool if Blizz joined in on the E3 festivity. But considering their D3 5yr anniversary announcement was via twitter and late, I wouldn't be surprised if we get an announcement via a forum post.

Either way, I'm getting in the mindset for those Malthael runs.

Anyone who wants to smash out the 15 games in HOTS, let me know. I'll be doing the runs in all 4 accounts that meddle with since 3 of them have D3 and the last one was originally planned to be my 3rd D3 account (I've got HOTS on it for the HOTS pennant... so I may as well get these wings too). You'll just have to put up with me playing two accounts simultaneously but I've learnt to multitask quite well in HOTS, even without Abathur.

Managed to get an hour or so online yesterday and started to push. Sitting on seasonal 1092 paragon ATM and did an 85 on the wiz in 6ish mins and an 85 on the monk in 12 mins (bad mobs and lvls, killed the RG on lvl 7). Will try to push both to 90 if I get time. At least if I do that i'll feel as if Ive salvaged the season and matched what I did last season on the crusader.

Nice mate. I've been far too busy lately to spend much time on it. I'll be on a bit in the evenings this week I hope.

Got 3 nights in a row taking mum to the hospital and am proofing a friend's resume so, short of afk farming in HOTS, I got no time for gaming either.

And the next HOTS event with the D3 reward is next week so I don't see much D3 gaming till the Necro comes out.
