It's been a couple of months and I've been forgetting to check for applications (sorry) so REMINDER! If you'd like to join the Clan and/or Community ahead of the probable Necromancer release next month, see this post for details, or search Player Attack in the community finder in-game.

Feel free to post in the thread if you've applied for the Clan so I don't forget because of playing all the Fallout 4. :)

Hmmm, currently 10 job postings for a future Diablo game...

One of the positions asks for MMO experience... not sure I like the idea of the Diablo series going in the MMO direction but it's good to see the franchise living on at the very least.

Managed a solo 90 on my non COE Wiz with 8 seconds to spare :D
Also had the unthinkable happen ...... picked up a primal ancient blackthorns chest!!! hahah

Season 10 is pretty much done for me (apart from some game time today) as I'll be in Tokyo for the end of season.

Looking forward to pushing some harder non-season grifts when I get back. I should be sitting at 1300 paragon minimum for non season now.

At least that BT chest has a chance at being retroactively being made useful.

My primal Leoric's Signet may have a socket and two crits on it but it's useless at lvl 70. 3% bonus xp is stupid. May as well wear a more useful ring that allows me to push higher for more xp AND loot.

Yeah, I've been playing this game almost non-stop and I'm not even P1300 in NS. Pade's definitely been hitting the high GRs A LOT. It's the only way to keep the paragons progressing quickly past 1k. I know a few guys who've been pushing since day 1 (one had 10x max paragon characters in vanilla) and they're all P2000+... some P4000+!

Paragons never excited me whether in vanilla or RoS. I was happy to hit P800 so I'd be able to max out all my non-primary paragon allocations but high GRs and paragon grinding always bored me. Was happier hunting down gear and items to cube. And then HOTS came along and gave me a challenge for a game to accumulate gold in - lol

Just gonna leave this here...
The Rise of the Necromancer is a purchasable content pack coming to Diablo III: Reaper of Souls and Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. The pack will be available for purchase starting June 27, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will cost $14.99 USD.
https://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/208451 ... -6-20-2017

Equates to AU$20 but we'll see exactly how much it'll be set as by Blizzard.

EDIT: Oak on the AU/NZ forum spotted that the AU price is $21.95 in the description of the sizzle reel:

Hmm, was hoping for a new area or something... not sure I will grab it straight away.
Thinking I might jump into my non-season characters once this season is complete and progress them along a bit.
Can't be bothered starting a new character and leveling again.

You're in luck mini... we'll get 6 new areas!

Shrouded Moars and Temple of the First Born will be two new areas in adventure mode to go roaming around. There will also be these areas in Act 4 called Fractures that uses that tech of changing between different tilesets.

If you mainly play solo and if you've got some gear, paragons and gear banked up, staying in NS for a while is a good thing. I missed Seasons 3 and 4 and a few from my clan and I stayed in NS and pushed our max GR level and paragons during that time. Was great as one of them was a half year season.

Then I had to play season to unlock stash tabs :-(

My SC characters are at a point where I want to leave them in NS so I'm hoping that new ingame store will allow us to purchase packs of character slots and stash tabs so I can start doing HC characters but in seasons. I got no HC gear or paragons on my main account so it makes sense for me to play seasons there and unlock the seasonal cosmetics at the same time.

Yep, available after maintenance is done on Wed morning for most of us. A few people were trying to figure out the exact release time on other forums but after reading the release details, it's clear that we'll have to wait for maintenance to finish.

I'm tempted to take Wed, Thurs or Fri off work. Maybe I'll do this mid July.

I also better get my Tax Return documentation sorted before the 28th!

Those new areas are available to everyone though aren't they? So no need to buy the pack for them?

Edit: Just went and read the FAQ and yes they are free content...

Yeah, the new areas and challenge rifts are free content so if the necro doesn't interest you, you don't have to buy it.

I'll only be getting the necro on my main... on my alt account, I've got 5 more classes I haven't played in HC still.

I am thinking of starting a HC character and seeing how it goes... I do have a tendency to die though... so maybe not yet.

It's not that bad since every character has a second life passive which is mandatory for all HC builds if you want a good chance at getting far. That second life procs quite a bit for me when I'm doing T13 rifts or anything higher than GR50.

It also gets you tweaking the cookie cutter builds quite a bit. Take this build for example:

http://www.diablofans.com/builds/89017- ... gr-solo-95

I don't have an ancient Sacred Harvester and don't have the damage mitigation in melee range so I've altered the build to be ranged which is somewhat more to my liking:

https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Swa ... o/88243057

So yeah, if you like tinkering with your builds to be your own creations, HC is a pretty good mode for that.

Crafted a new hellfire ammy tonight.

The old one had +10max damage, 182 vit, 301 life regen and 3.5% crit chance. Was only 35% bonus xp too.

In comparison, the new one rolled ancient and has +45% xp bonus, it has 609 vit, over 9000 life regen, a socket, and +97-185 damage on it. Pretty much the perfect stats you'd want on a leveling ring.

Gonna run a few rifts to level up my Red Soul Stone gem too... might use that when leveling up the Necro for something a bit different to a ruby.
