Hey everyone,

BlizzCon draws near, and we wanted to give you an update about Diablo’s presence at the show. Last year at BlizzCon, we kicked off Diablo’s 20th anniversary by announcing the old-school cathedral dungeon (if you missed that the first time around, it’s coming back in January) and unveiling Rise of the Necromancer. This year, we want to give you a heads-up that while Diablo will be on the show floor, we won’t be making any new Diablo announcements. There will be a time for that at some point in the future, but that time is not now.

However, in addition to the special BlizzCon Diablo III in-game reward, we’ll also have Diablo panels for attendees and Virtual Ticket holders, and, as always, we look forward to a weekend filled with fun and revelry with the heroes who call Sanctuary home.

Patch 2.6.1 is on the horizon. Looking beyond that, we’re hard at work on the future of Diablo and exploring what’s next for the franchise. Please be patient. Our passion for Sanctuary burns as bright as the High Heavens and as hot as the Burning Hells—and we’re excited to hunker down and get working!

Until next time,
The Diablo Development Team

Stash clean up done!

My main account will be choc-a-bloc full once I empty another toon to rebirth for S12.

My HC account has stash space but I have 2000+ shards I can't touch as I'm waiting for 2.6.1 to drop before spending them.

Freed up a whole stash tab after salvaging all my redundant gear after yesterdays patch release. Some items just won't ever be equipped anymore with their damage multiplier moved to the leg affix.

After sinking a bit more than a week into the new patch I must say, that revitalising old builds has been a pretty solid effort. Some key things though...

- with the reworked legendary items now having their damage affix as part of the legendary affix, it does make it easier to get the most out of that effect by cubing the item to get the max legendary affix roll
- due to the large range, if you need to equip that item (such as Yang's Recurve), it does make the hunt for a good version last longer
- being able to easily speed run GR70+ has been fun
- Monk's Sunwuko set is less frustrating to play now - yay!

I'm hoping they continue this trend with another patch that improves non-competitive skills. And improve the mechanics of various sets/skills.

How the various builds are looking for those who may be playing in Season 12:

Whirlwind is back in favour? Awww, no fun if it's actually meant to be good. :D

Will probably end up playing a bit, as usual, not sure how much though. Destiny 2 now and Battlefront soon. If you want to get into the clan before/during the season you might need to give me a nudge so I can pop in. :)

Yeah, WW is competitive again though, for GR pushing, you'll need the Istvan blades and I'm assuming some RCR on gear to get the resource spend under control. Istvan grants extra damage and armour bonus over the BK swords which is more important at high GRs. I do wish they gave the BK swords a straight damage component to its affix to make it more appealing. I personally only use WW with the BK swords for farming anyway so my WW build won't change... it just got automatically buffed to be T13 viable

The powercreep with the latest patch is so insane.

Day 3 and people in my clan are already speed running GR60+ (and I'm not in a pushing clan).

For Barbs, just their bracers alone for HOTA and SS will get you one shotting on early torments.

A bit frustrating that I don't have a Vanishing Peak weapon on my HC account but I do on my SC one, esp when I'm running HOTA in SC and SS in HC.

Yeah I'm doing 5 minute 75s now on my monk, Paragon 450, no fishing, no ancient weapons etc. Good times!

Seems my limit is 81 at the moment, I'm a bit squishy beyond that, my gems are only level 35 though, so it's not like 81 is bad

I played a lot of D3, doing rifts and adventure mode, but I never got in to advanced builds and collecting gear sets.

I just fiddle around with the classes and find stuff I enjoy using.

I still haven't bought the new class.

advanced builds and collecting gear sets.
I wouldn't necessarily call them advanced builds. You'll be well geared after 10hrs of play in seasons thanks to the free set and boost to resources that you can get from the challenge rift cache.

Gearing for damage isn't hard. Just stack lots of crit chance and crit damage every where it rolls. Ensure enough vitality and your main stat, and get all resistance on gear unless you're a class that uses Intelligence in which case you want armour. With just rare gear, this makes you Torment 1 viable.

And after the last patch, the powercreep from items is so great that once you get a pair of bracers or something that makes a skill 6x more powerful than what it normally is, you can crank up the difficulty by a few levels.

Did my push to GR70 solo last night after getting a gold top up from some clan mates. These new items are ridiculously strong. Only one of my dual wielded weapons are ancient, my CoE rolled low, my bracers aren't rolled all that high either, and I was running two defensive gems with only BotT as my damage gem... and I still cleared GR70 in less than 6min on a crap rift.

I gotta admit, the guy's ability to create density so that a non-ancient Yangs can complete GR100 is impressive...

Saw Makena hit Guardian earlier. Grats mate!

I'm 6 legendary power extracts off from Guardian myself. Spent the morning doing the final stretch with gem upgrades. Also reforged an ancient Slanderer luckily within 7 or 8 reforges. Double ancient swords... wasn't expecting that in Seasons, nor was I anticipating getting Guardian in HC... I was planning on doing that in SC though. Not sure I have the will to get the job done a second time - lol

I almost copped a HC death the other night. DCed/got booted to menu but when I tried rejoining the team, I was suck in limbo on the main menu. Turns out my toon was still in game and my zdps partner was frantically trying to keep me alive. It wasn't till I decided to leave and rejoin the team that I fully DCed.

Scary stuff.

And that's why I got a SC carry last night instead - lol
