Assetto Corsa Aus Group

Post by AzzA82 » 20 Mar 2016, 18:18

So I play AC on Sundays with a regular crew figured I'd throw a shoutout to anyone who is looking for a casual race group on Sunday arvos to cone and race with us

mixed NZ AUS and some wired guy from USA group plus steam randoms

Sunday 2-4pm QLD Time Due to change soon Different countries with Daylight Savings might be making it earlier so the poor guy USA doesn't have to race at 3am lol

Server Oldr Casual Race

Teamspeak upon application tho
More the merrier tho
Its pretty casual we won't ban kick you for trying :)

Sounds good! I'm without a wheel at the moment, so I haven't been doing much racing of anything but I'd been very keen on this when I have one up and running again. (I do fire it u with a gamepad from time to time, though I don't think I could bring myself to race online that way)

Its pretty casual I don't think you could do any worse then some of the steam random we get.
We have bets on how many and which turn they will wipe out half the field. You have to have a sense of humour if you run a public race server lol

Try a steam controller it worked ok on wreckfest when I tried , tho I didn't bother more than a try as I have fanatec setup better then a 360 controller is all I came away with.

Use it mainly to play Shadow run , pillars of eternity etc in the loungeroom via in home streaming , main desktop is full sim rig

I might jump on and give it a run next weekend then :) I just feel slow as fuck without a wheel, but I'm very track aware so I don't think I will be any hazard using the gamepad, especially if it is fairly casual. I spent 1000+ hours playing Live For Speed on public servers back in the day, so I've seen just about everything that can go on in a public racing server. None of it will be a surprise

sunday arvo definitely suits, after Easter you may see jump in for a race :)

had a great arvo racing yesterday in Project C, that French coast track is just so good :)... almost as good as the Italian mountain climb in AC

definitely Meare; I had great fun yesterday arvo was just me and DJ and the French coast... and apologies to the locals as we took out most bollards and rubbish bins as we hammered down the coast :D

Oh yea Easter is this weekend lol
might be a slow turnout , I won't be there
but it is a public server and we run different cars every week so numbers fluctuate given weather a car is popular
It's been interesting to see which cars attract the highest turn out , it certainly wasn't the gt2 gt3 classes that we expected

The slower cars tend to get better turn outs and closer racing with less gap between the aliens and the normal racers
