DiRT Rally

Post by GamingKen » 11 Jan 2016, 13:12

I'm yet to pick this up, mainly due to my current lack of wheel, but it certainly is looking good and a must buy. I've just been watching a few reviews and videos on YouTube, and found the video below, which is of former Australian Junior National Rally Champion Will Orders driving the Bidno Moorland stage. Pretty damn intense drive and causally tops the leaderboard by 14 seconds.

Picked this up in the steam picnic sale, good game feels amazing through the wheel, ultra challenging though the neighbours must wonder what I'm yelling at.

it's tough but great fun and a huge variety of terrain; polocross is intense. I'm just using a g27 but it feels great through the wheel.

Yeah I only have an old G25 but it does the job. The temptation to drive way too fast for the tracks is ever present lol

Nice one, MT! Makes me really miss having a wheel. Soon as I get setup with one again I will be jumping into some DiRT.

Bought this on a whim since it was on sale on Humble Bundle...
Loved older Rally games, so was hoping this would be like them. All I can say is that I need a wheel after those races, managed to get third in my first event, but the controller just doesn't cut it.

Will be racing a lot more in the future though

Racing is the BEST! Once you go wheel you can't go back to gamepad! I'm dying to get my next wheel, as my last one died after years of heavy duty use, and I have to wait until I move to get the next one.

Where you around games.on.net in the Gonlympics days?

I think I was, but not really an active member, so missed out on those days...
And yeah, had a wheel years ago (15 - 20 years ago) and do miss it...

Think it was one of the first Logitech force feedback wheels, still using the joystick port connection.
