I mean, I don't want to be completely evil, but I'd like evil moments lol

I have looked through the list of races about 4 times... still struggling to choose.

I want to go a scouting type class, so looking at something with extra Dex... So thinking Duros or Rodian
Class is looking like Scoundrel or Scout

Now to work out a background that goes along with one of these... and a name... OH GOD I HAVE TO THINK OF A NAME...

Droids are cool but they suck at fixing themselves

Yeah Kharis, it's best if there's a skilled mechanic on the team to fix you, it's quicker. Droids are tough, real tough, but they have their limitations. They also easy to lose permanently.

Feel free to pick any of the races in the other books as well. I'm not going to limit race choice to the core rule book. For instance the Cathar in the KOTR book. +2 Dex -2 Int, Have claws and a base speed of 8 instead of 6.

Ok, so class I'm cool with, base classes seem to be Noble/Jedi/Scout/Scoundrel/Soldier. Are we just picking them and picking up Prestige classes at... looks like level 7?

Yeah base classes, and prestige when eligible. Some prestige class have different pre reqs, but overall yeah around lvl 7 is the prestige. You can also multi-class aswell.

Ok, looking at a Chadra Fan (Unknown Regions) Scout.
Small character, with less movement, but gives a bit of mechanical knowledge.

Now for the hard part... name and back story... hmmm

Chandra Fan, They can definitely repair things well. They do have a base speed of only 4 squares being small, but they also get a reflex bonus and stealth bonus for being small. But then again in a world of laser guns, movement isn't a huge issue :)

Also Mini, in one of my previous campaigns I had a player who wanted to be a crafter, so I built an entire homebrew crafting system with a bit of depth to it. In case you're thinking of something similar?

That could be interesting... will try to stick to standard stuff for now though...
Kharis - we should work on a combined character story... might work well to work out how we all came together.

Also the text thread over on Discord is up and running with a few bits of conversation starting about characters.

Also, start thinking about something special that applies to your character. I like to gives my players something special at character creation based on a dice roll.
An example,
"One of my players backstory was she was a street rat that eventually stole from the wrong person, an imperial official (turned out to be the Imperial Governor). He eventually captured her but in their following conversations he decided to take her under his wing instead of hand her over, seeing a keen mind and a tonne of potential. Over a period of time he eventually had dealings with Sith (being his role as an Imperial Governor, would eventually happen). Inquisitors we'll call them, of a kind. That Sith recognized that the Cathar girl he'd taken under his wing was force sensitive, but only told the Governor.
The imperial Governor eventually gifted her the item she tried to steal originally which was a finely crafted Mandalorian Steel Dagger. He also imparted a prayer to her. He said to her "If ever you feel angry, or scared, or powerless, pour those emotions into the blade and say they prayer. Which she did every night for 15+ years, never missing a night.
I then told him to roll a d20. He rolled a 19.
Over the course of the years leading up to 'present day' for his character, black vein like lines had etched themselves into the blade.
She would later find out that the prayer she was saying every night was the Sith Code. The blade had been heavily corrupted by the dark side, which she later converted into a lightsaber (at Level 7). The new lightsaber had a very special set of rules applied to it. He could make Use the Force checks when activating the blade. Depending on the roll, a different effect applied to the corrupted lightsaber."

It took months irl to get to that stage and it was hella satisfying to see this character come to power.

So stuff like that, It's just a matter of convincing me.

Just a reminder for everyone.

Saturday 8:30pm we'll start this adventure we've all chosen to go on.
This first meeting of players will be to:
- roll our characters
- discuss elements of running an evil campaign
- discuss boundaries of our campaign, some evil campaigns can get a little dark
- discuss my house rules and homebrew elements I've put into the game
- get to know each other and generally have fun

Most of my ramblings wont last long, so if we have time we can run through a small mission/scenario to give you all a feel for your characters and the game mechanics, don't worry about your character's mortality in this mission as it wont have any affect on the campaign at all.

I'm not sure how long people can hang around or not, but I've got a good 3-4 hours available that night so it'll be up to you wonderful people how long we go. Also I tend to forget about breaks when I GM, so yell at me if you want a 10-20min break in between :P

The discord chat has been fairly active, so if you can get a chance, swing by and say hello!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask here or in the discord chat, I've been keeping an eye on both :D

I'm really looking forward to Saturday though, so bring your roleplaying hats and May the Force be with you! (Cringe)
