I remember setting up a LAN game of Delta Force 2 with 3 of my friends. Damn that was fun. I remember being in hysterics every time I saw the "player found a punji stick and died" message...yeah I've always been the sympathetic sort.
Games I miss? Probably anything from the Lucasarts adventure game line fills that bill. Day of the Tentacle was a wonderful, silly adventure game. Fate of Atlantis was well thought out and the multiple paths was very clever. Loom...wow, that game seriously needs a remake, the combination of music, atmosphere and clever music based puzzles was sublime. So many good titles...
