What are you listening to?
Re: What are you listening to?
Instead of doing his solo improv thing, Beardyman has now put together an improv band and they are pretty amazing. Two freestyle rappers, drummer, keyboards, cello, double bass and Beardyman himself. Starts off a little patchy but about 15 minutes in just takes off. Dizraeli's song about his late sister at 56:30 is unbelievable.

Nice, always loved his live stuff and good to see he's changing it up a bit!Sathias wrote:Instead of doing his solo improv thing, Beardyman has now put together an improv band and they are pretty amazing. He's insanely talented IMO, doesn't get anywhere near the recognition he deserves.

Got myself a Pulselocker account to use with my new Serato DJ setup, gives me 44 million tracks I can mix directly streaming off the net... as a result decided to put together a playlist of classic 2000-2004 Drum and Bass, this classic popped up

Amazing cover, such a great band. So many metal elitist fucks give them shit, they're an insanely talented bunch of dudes.Mini wrote:Keep listening to this.. really like it.
You seen this live performance of it? Nails it :O (Didn't know their guitarist played piano either haha)

I don't listen to too much Gwen Stefani but some of the antics here are hilarious!

Great cover, good to see it getting picked up. Its funny when people trash metal groups because they scream, when a lot of these guys/girls can really sing.korbain wrote:Amazing cover, such a great band. Re: What are you listening to?
Now that I have my turntables set-up properly with my new mixer and speakers, decided to start collecting some non-dance vinyl. Ordered a few remastered album faves from eBay.
Mr Bungle - self titled
Mr Bungle - California
Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese
Ministry - The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste
Metallica - Master of Puppets

Only because I just found out that Downey Jr and Tomei were both in the movie of the same name... their scene in Civil War probably would have been more nostalgic had I known.

Ahh, now I know who it is! I don't mind Disturbed. I heard this on Gold FM (local 70s/80s/90s/Now type station that wouldn't usually play Disturbed) and thought it was pretty decent. I still absolutely love Nevermore's version though.korbain wrote:Amazing cover, such a great band.
