off to the Perth show tomorrow, none of the panels really interest me but it'll be a fun day out. Will hit up the gaming area and maybe the anime station.

I second that. Got one in my draw at work. Had two or three this week already after pulling into Coles on my way home to get the odd grocery... I always seem to be $1 off from a discount fuel voucher when I go shopping so a $1 on sale chocolate bar usually fills the gap. I normally get back about $1.40 from the fuel voucher so I come out ahead... in both my wallet and my gut :) ... :( ... ... :| ... :?

I'm looking forward to trying it, I'm very much a bourbon guy hence the Turkey 100, but a friend drinks a lot of whisky and has tempted me to broaden my horizons a bit - he's very partial to the Taliskers 10y, and a Yamazaki that is damn near impossible to find now. So I'll see how it goes :D

If it's crap I can always mix it with coke, right?

Now that I do agree with, but if I wanted to drink it with coke I wouldn't have spent the cash on good whisky lol

So, I scored these rather simple but elegant Kate Spade New York bangles from David Jones on sale, which I am planning on using as gifts - I am a bit shitted off that they arrived without the original packaging, which is a gift box. It's not obvious they're Kate Spade, so I am pleased they at least still have the tag on them. I bought 2 in silver and 1 in gold. Usually $60 each, I got them for $25.

I also scored a $150 trench coat for $59, stoked with this purchase, it's a classic investment piece that is timeless and will last for quite a few winters.

Last minute purchase from a tiny bottleshop OTW home with dinner and i manage to buy the one James Squire that i absolutely detest.

Tastes like someone smuggled hops into a concert in their bladder and then pissed into an aluminium bottle.

Lagavulin is magnificent, excellent balance. Very similar to my favourite whiskey, Caol Ila.

It was also quite cheap too, on sale at Dan Murpheys at the moment for about $80, looks to normally be about $110 (at least according to the shelf sticker)
