Hey if it works and it's just a placebo, at least it works!

kharis wrote:stupid cold, had my flu shot so it had better not get worse
Flu != to common cold.... so obviously having the flu shot will mean nothing to a cold.
Disco wrote:Everyone tells me to buy Echinacea tablets from the pharmacy to help kick a cold, worth a shot?
I've heard the same.. no idea if it actually works or not though as I'm too lazy to go get some. I usually just load up on Codral lol..
Disco wrote:I got my flu shot, seriously hoping to avoid getting deathly ill like I did last year so will be on top of handwashing and hand sanitizer and junk, maybe take some vitamins or something!
I've heard people talk about using hand sanitizer etc to keep germs/bugs from spreading on your hands being counter intuitive as it dehydrates your skin quite quickly and easily if over used which could result in it not actually being that effective. Again, never actually looked into it though...

I know that the flu is not the same as a cold, it's more the fact that no matter how sick I get I still have to do everything that I do anyway and being sick sucks.

Will do! It's a pity the sequel dropped the co-op campaign but I like my robots in disguise so will probably pick up the sequel.

Managed to pick it up on GOG just before its 90% off sale ended. Quite enjoyed the first one, looking forward to giving this one a button bash.
Good luck getting it to launch. I tried for ~2 hours and never had it work.
Yeah, I've heard it has (or had) quite a few people with issues like this, which is why I waited for a big sale on it. Thankfully, I only paid about $2.50 AUD so if it doesn't work I won't be too disappointed. Sounds like a patch fixed up most issues though, so fingers crossed it works for me when I try it out tonight! :D
Just tested it and it seemed to work fine. Maybe try it out again and see if patching has fixed it for you too?

Yeah, I feel like the last person on earth to be getting Rocket League... had it not been for one friend on steam who's still yet to buy it. He should though... he's just got 100Mbps NBN... downloaded his steam pile of shame that he's been accumulating for month in about 30min! Rocket league would be a 2min download I bet.

Not quite a "latest" purchase (given that I paid 3.5 years ago), but... the CV1 finally landed on my doorstep on Friday. :D

It really is a thing of beauty. Downside is that my current GFX card is under min specs (works fine mind, other than some occasional micro-stutters), so ordered the following from MSY:

Was about due for a GPU refresh, back to NVidia from AMD.

Just picked up DOOM (+dlc) for $54.99 at cdkeys. Considering I'm another old DOOM fan, all the good reviews made it sound too good to pass up.
