No idea, still in the sorting out exactly what's going on stage. Pretty sure it's not that far gone just yet though.
You a runner?
Nope, not for years. I'm not a fatty either. It's started to come up in the past couple years for no particular reason I can identify. I don't do any high impact sort of stuff and haven't done anything that would've stressed them for probably more than a decade. Physio's referred me to some orthopaedic something or other to check it out more. Doing it through the public system so it's taking a while.

I can empathise mate... my right hip has started getting bad as well. I'm in my early 40s though.
The worst part is the amount of exercises they've got me doing to try and help it. Why can't I just sit on my arse more and have everything be fine? It's not my sort of injury, lol.

My biggest complaint is tennis elbow that has been a total dick for the last few months, done physio, done stretches/exercises, have just come to accept that my forearm will be in pain for the rest of my life.

my knee and shoulder hurt pretty much all the time, add the occasional pinched nerve in my back, i can blame the back and shoulder on the children, knee is soccer with the added joy of car crash at schoolies

I'd be happy for 3 day weekends tbh. Think that would be enough to recover as well as do something without it feeling like it's dragging on.

I would be happier with Wednesday off every week... then you get a break after 2 days work...
All is mute though unless you can wrangle something with your work
Sharepoint is an odd beast... slowly working out what I can do with it.

Not having a day off during the week can be a real pain in the ass sometimes when trying to do things, particularly medical appointments etc.
Aaand my General Manager submitted his resignation today, so a large number of his duties are going to become my responsibility, looking like a management shift/promotion to Operations Manager which is pretty sweet. Will have to see how it all washes up though.

Pretty sure there been various studies that show a reduced work day to 6 hours often increases overall productivity compared to 8 hour days. Is there something similar to show 4 day weeks are better than 5?

Fuck you Holden.
Brand new car in 2011.
$13,350 in repairs to date. Can't sell it because it keeps fucking breaking beforehand.

Ouch, that's gotta suck. Any reason those repairs weren't covered by warranty?
My S8 arrived yesterday (and I got my new micro sim card for it this morning), so I'm starting the tedious process of transferring all my apps and getting my phone set up just right. Main thing I want to do with it is strap on the Occulus VR headset tbh.

My series 1 Cruze occasionally has some dodgy breakdown that really ticks me off. Apart from that and that the engine is underpowered for the size of the car, I've quite enjoyed having it.
Then again, considering I all the crap I go through with pushing the body corp to get quotes and getting other owners to tend to repairs that should have been done years ago, tending to car issues is just childs play.

Funny how cars seem to be exempt from Australian consumer law. I daily have to deal with idiots who want a 7 year old, $400 washing machine covered under "acceptable life span" but for some reason buying a $40,000 car after 2 years you can go fuck yourself as far as the company and the law is concerned.... makes no sense.

Lobbying power I assume. Which might be interesting going into the future now that the car manufacturers aren't major Australian employers.

Strange, I thought used cars were covered under warranty for either 3 months or 5000km (whichever comes first).

S2 Cruze. Air con has gone twice which is ~$1k to fix in itself (whole dash removed). Engine blown up. Brakes rooted. Turbo blown. Transmission fucked. Compressor gone. Dash lighting half dead. Radio stopped working for 3 months.
This from a 5 1/2 year old car. My 18 year old Pulsar went for 4 years without issue.

I saw a letter we got the other day for our body corporate "maintenance fee", the only maintenance I've seen them do in years is get the lawns mowed, while the tops of the buildings have some decorative work that is rotted and falling apart. Pisses me off that they're happy sending out letters saying you need permission to do x y and z, but heaven forbid they fucking do anything.
