Got that bloody evol ring via the gambling with a lvl4 toon trick after about 3k shards... then dropped the evol ring 2 or 3 GRs later!

Guardian is done now at least. Gonna keep farming and get me an ancient or Primal Trag'oul's corroded fang and try to get a Bloodlancer build going.
Always the way. Spend time farming an item, then it rains said item once you have it....

If you're using Inarius and want to see how much damage the Bonestorm can do by itself, checkout this build:

Pade was trying that out yesterday. I have all the bits. Too much to try out. I'm still learning how to play the blood mage speed farm build, lol.

Yea its not bad, definitely a good gemup to 65 build, bit slow for 70's. Cant see it being a viable push build.

OK, I'm sick of seeing how much fun you're all having and am now downloading the Diablo 3 "Starter Pack".

I have never touched a Diablo game but have played some PoE.

Is there anything essential I need to do or not do or is it pretty fool proof?

Cheers.

Edit: Can I go wrong just picking a class that sounds fun?

It's pretty fool proof. Every class can be respecced at anytime when not in combat or in a Greater Rift (which you won't have to worry about in the starter pack). You do have a level cap of 12 though I think in the starter but it should give you a feel of the game to some degree.

End game combat feels even more fluid.

Pick any class... if anything, try them all out. 12 levels isn't much in this game so you'll likely get to try them all out (well the original 5 anyway).

Finally got my six piece set this season. And my dragon pet/Yoda reference. Necromancers are so slow in rifts with minions. Fun, because you can have so many minions and damage reduction. But slowwwwwwww.

once you've got decent gear you'll tear through rifts with minions, in saying that anyone else just randomly get their cheat death procc'd one second I'm tanky as, then bam.

I've switched to Inarius now... Rathma is certainly capable but the mage spam gameplay grows old quickly for me. I've got a very well rolled ancient Reapers Wraps in NS for my Rathma set up though... just gonna wait till I'm back in NS before giving them a try. Might make Rathma feel fun to play again.

In the meantime, I'm gonna push Inarius as far as I can and hopefully get the ancient Trag'ouls Corroded Fang to go with my Bloodlancer build.

I've got a WD and a DH still called mule in my roster... thinking of retiring them and making new ones with proper names the next two seasons... gives me a chance to spec up a SB LON WD and Impale DH.

Played a bit of HC this weekend and am pretty happy with the progress. Between a gob pack and a bandit shrine (which is really just a gob pack that you can run around first before killing) my DB count and gems is fairly reasonable.

Got 3x leg gems up to 50 and a Stricken that's 1 GR from that too.

Got FnR and my CDR under control that I don't need obsidian in cube anymore. Got elusive ring instead in cube.

Upgraded gems to highest level... using only two emeralds in armour... rest are diamonds. Also got AR in all places I needed AR on my armour.

Rolled a fairly useable Hellfire ammy... got both crits on it (CHD at 87%). The passive is Leech... whilst Ambush would have been best (I need the damage), leech at least lets me generate back health so I have less chance of suffering a fatal blow.

Dropped an ancient Yangs that rolled quite well... only needed to gift it. Out of gifts now.

Couldn't get Avarice done though... don't have enough GF on gear despite a rank 50 Hoarder.

Sitting on P422... about 200 paragons up from when the weekend started.

Decided to finish off my M6 Grenades build on my alt account's NS SC DH. After much grinding for shards and gambling 1000s of them to no avail, I decided to see if I could use the low level character with kadala trick. Sure enough, I got my hellcat that way... and sure enough, the rift I ran to test my M6 Grenades build dropped a Hellcat :x

Also dropped a pretty sweet ancient Holy Point Shot. Pity my ancient Karlei's on this account rolled crap. It has CDR at the very least which I need for perma vengeance. I do have enough gear to make a working Shadow Impale build so I might give it a go. Just a pity it's on the alt account and not my main but I guess I'll have something meta at the very least to use for groups.

PTR patch 2.6.1 patch notes:

https://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/20976068

Lots of incoming power creep.

Will Barbs be able to deal dps properly again?

EDIT: OK, with all this powercreep, a whole bunch of my existing ancient weapons will need to be superseded... I'm starting to warm to the idea of just doing seasons and not keeping old gear. I mean, it's all going to be obsolete stuff eventually so why have the attachment? I can just keep cycling through the classes I play each season and hunt that item down again in 7 seasons' time.

Oh, and the Sunwuko set no longer consume SW stacks... you get a buff per stack now. SWK LTK is gonna be quite enjoyable now.

Looking forward to the 2.6.1 class re-balance. I recon i'll roll a sader and get my shield bash on!

Still loving the rathmas necro in S11, so far I've managed a GR99 solo and have been running 95 speeds with ease, both solo and in group!

If it's specifically shield bash you're wanting to play, the SB items didn't get a buff on the PTR.

Hammerdin Sweep attack, the Condemn build, and Blessed Shield are the main winners for Saders.

S12 conquests very easy. Rewards also look super sweet. The portrait really suits the game...

Anyone who needs a boost for S11 rewards, let me know. Can powerlevel and carry through first 4 chapters.

After much thoughts, I think I'm gonna run Barb on both accounts so I can Guardian season 12 easily (I don't like Hammerdin all too much so my plans to use Sader on my main is out the window)... I like the portrait which is why I'm going for Guardian (the seasons divisible by 4 seem to have good cosmetics for me).

I'm also likely to use the 2H flail which gives the two most important Akarat's Champion runes on my condemn sader build, meaning I don't need to farm up another Blade of Prophecy. I'll just cube it.

Also, expect more power creep...

https://us.battle.net/forums/en/d3/topi ... =2#post-34

Looks like they're gonna tinker with a lot more sets.

I'm still hoping they move all the M6 skills to UE and rework the M6 set. The sentries have become stat sticks once you get the 6pc... stat sticks which causes lag.
