Oh man, that promo was great, after all his years in WWE with Paul Heyman cutting his promos cause of how horrible he was at them when he first returned. I forgot Brock can really go off when hes allowed to just call people pieces of shit and mother fuckers

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
Thats pretty much the UFC heavy weight division though, just a bunch of jacked dudes and fat dudes punching on

Not even a criminal record, what a fucking farce. Now he can get back to the full time job of ducking Khabib.

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
Evidently they're gunning for an Oct 6th, which if it goes ahead, in typical fashion Khabib will pull out two weeks before the fight

Especially since they've barred other fighters from the UFC for much much less.

Yeah that would be my assumption. I think Dana will avoid imposing more sanctions than the athletic commission brings down, as it would make him look like a massive hypocrite.

#tinfoilhat
Connor got rolled, but im interested in the fact he tapped to a relatively uncommon submission (for someone who grapples) and then Khabib did all that. inb4 no charges pressed and they tee up an immediate rematch for the big PPV bucks.

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
Or the simple explanation is that while Conor has half decent wrestling and takedown defense, his sub defense is garbage.

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
Yeah maybe ^
Might be a situation where he gets babied too much with subs because he's "the champ". Never know wtf goes on in some training camps.

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
I reckon most of his grappling training goes into avoiding takedowns and getting back up after them, a la Chuck Liddel "wrestling in reverse". It would work for 95% of fighters, but Khabib is a rarely talented grappler.

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
and he would've tapped because that move puts so much pressure on the jaw that it can break.

Re: The UFC/MMA thread
Probably not breaking a jaw from a RNC, from having that cranked by much bigger guys quite a few times it just hurts but not at a level that matters in the ring, let alone for a title. It's no different to something like a straight ankle lock/achillies, shit might tap someone in training but it basically never works if someones trying to smash your face in because people just dont care about the pain when it doesnt involve something breaking.Disruptor4 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2018, 20:22and he would've tapped because that move puts so much pressure on the jaw that it can break.
There's been a lot of shit talking about the fact that Mcgregor doesnt bring in specialists for his camps, just has his guys "imitate" the opponent. Anyone with half a brain and a little money preparing for that fight would be flying in Ben Askren and just saying "fuck my shit up fam".
