Can anyone recommend me a co-op PS4 game to play with the other half on the couch? Something not too intense, she's a Zelda/Nintendo sort of gal. She's not really into side scrollers which limits the choices somewhat.

Short of being a recommendation, but having a list (with their genre) might help you find something. And like kharis said, Lego games might be a good bet.

Picked it up for $99 the other day - pretty fun game I must say! Also, unlocking instruction manuals ingame in order to piece the lego pieces you have together is pretty cool too.

i have forza 5 and fifa 14 on discs for my xbox (thats what it came with). every single other game ive bought as a download and i have a 2nd 1TB external HD hooked up.
so my latest game ive been playing is the batman game. thats pretty darn amazing GFX.

Alien Isolation is about to go back onto my menu (inspired by my completion of SOMA). Also some more Elite Dangerous last night... had to self-destruct as I had foolishly run out of petrol while exploring and hadn't installed a fuel scoop. Really can't wait for the new controller mapping to be ported into the PC version.

Lego games maybe? My partner likes Skylanders but we haven't got the last few games because of all the extra shit they want you to buy, I think Disney infinity isn't as bad, theres a lot of extra toys but if you own the story pack for a particular series (Star Wars, Marvel, Cars etc) you aren't locked out of anything in that story...

Does it have to be coop or can you smash the shit out of each other in Street Fight/Mortal Kombat

I ended up getting Lara Croft Temple of Osiris as it looks kinda fun with a smattering of puzzles and shooting. She also loves history and myths.

Mario 64 in my 64, I'm going to start with that before getting into Banjo Kazooie and Conkers Bad Fur Day... surprised how the graphics don't bother me at all, wonder if its an indie game thing, so many pixel games these days that it doesn't seem old.

Multiplayer Mario Kart and Pod Racer is on hold because the second controller the guy was going to throw out cause the stick was broken but then gave me to try and fix is unfixable, the entire circuit board is totally snapped in half. Already have a brand new replacement stick anyway so I'm going to check cash converters for some cheap controllers because eBay is a rip off.

After reading articles and watching videos on the Final Fantasy VII remake I decided to go and play FFXII again. I never got too far in it previously, but I'm finding it rather entertaining this time around. If the new FFVII has combat similar to this I think I'm ok with it. It's still essentially menu-based ABT style combat system at its core, but it's rather cleverly disguised. Plus no invisible random encounters, so instant win there...

Setting the 3DS up again for my holiday, I really don't give it the love it deserves when I'm at home, especially since I've stopped traveling for work, so many fun games, going to be taking Fire Emblem, Majoras Mask and Mario Golf with me, thinking about picking up Xenoblade Chronicals 3DS, but I might just get Xeonblade Chronicals X for Wii U instead.

Smash Bros is going back in my Wii U now that the new characters have been announced, I still haven't picked up Ryu, seems kinda boring have a fighting game character as a guest... Assuming that I get any time to play it, I probably should have gotten it for 3DS because my partner isn't a big fighting game fan so I'm only ever playing CPU or online opponents and then I could take it with me on holidays.

Found a retro games store in Perth that seems to be reasonably priced on some of their N64 stuff, going to swing by there and try and get a couple of things... Mario Party 2, Diddy Kong Racing, extra controllers, stuff to mix up with the regular Mario Kart Wii U/Mario Party 8 nights my cousin and I host

Although it's really only the ps4 getting any love at the moment, Rocket League is just so great for short bursts of play, which at this time of year when I get home from work in retail, is what I'm really looking for. Doesn't hurt that it's bloody fun either!

Gave my partner little big planet karting for Christmas because we've been trying to find a karting have for ps3 that works for us both and so far lbpk is awesome.
