Yes, it might be a nefarious ne'er-do-well, rather not deal with that. If it's just some weird glitch and it IS someone here then I'll add them. Or let Makena deal with it. :P

I was about to say "What are Pussagays for?" and then realised it's a joke that wouldn't make much sense outside of the 7 Sins clan. Dunno where the term came from but it's what we call all the officers... and yes, it's gone as far as renaming 'Officer' in the clan settings to 'Pussagay'.

Diablo 3 has fallen by the wayside a bit for me as I got myself mildly addicted to Total War Warhammer, whoops

Yeah I kinda put 20 hours into Fallout 4 somehow. Watching videos while playing Diablo is the only time Diablo gets done. Did get my final Haedrig gift today! Sentries spewing chakrams everywhere, so good. :D

I kinda capped out after I did Conqueror and have been playing my HC WD on my alt account if I do get in game. But the last few times I loaded it up, I got bugger all items for my build. Still no Traveller's Pledge or good Compass Rose, nor SMF or Sacred Harvester.

Should probably at least attempt the 1hr speed run since I did get a beastly Aether Walker in SC and Wizards do well with the speed runs.

Apart from that, I'm in Wildlands ticking off on collectibles.

Well after struggling with the Lightning Archon Wizard in the low 60s, Zep talked me into making an Impale DH.... we levelled him to 70 on Saturday night and got the gear bits he needed on Sunday after doing about 12 vaults with Pade and Undertow. 3 days later and I got my solo GR70 with only one level 25 gem, first try

Grats on the GR70. Yep, impale DHs kick arse.

But something sounds wrong with your Wizard. It should be able to easily do GR70 even without an ancient weapon. How does you build look atm? I found that assigning the keys to mimic the archon skills helps when jumping between forms. Here's my setup:

GR70 was pretty simple and I run non-meta group GR82s just fine.

This is my Wizard atm... any tips on where I'm going wrong would be great :)

I suspect the problem is just not getting the hang of the playstyle, I only just went to Lightning Archon recently after getting about as high as I could go with my lightning spectral blades build.

Hmmm, I can understand why you've specced the way you have given the stats on your gear.

The build is easier to run with an obsidian ring instead of the CoE; the later is only for high end GRs with an Aether Walker so you can TP around to get out of harms way. The only problem with an obsidian instead of CoE is that you'll lose a lot of CHD as you're missing that on your Manald Heal and gloves.

You're also missing a bit of CHC on your ammy. A good Tals ammy is hard to get... it's been eluding me for the past 3yrs (granted I haven't played Wizard too much during RoS). The one in my profile (which is missing a chunk of CHD still) is my best one ever.

I'd work on gambling for better gloves. If you can get one with CHD, CHC, and CDR on it, change to that and drop CoE for Obsidian. You wanna roll off the cost reduction for your socket... CDR, CHC, and IAS is needed.

You may also find Galvanising Ward more useful than Power Hungry... I prefer it as I need the survivability and do enough damage already for GR80s in a team.

You should also change around your key mapping. Put Ray of Frost on RMB and Hydra on LMB. Action button 2 should be Archon and Action button 3 for Teleport. 1 and 4 can be any of the other two skills. This is so that your teleport and channeling skill keys are the same in both archon and non-archon mode, and your button to activate archon becomes the activate bubble button so you can just double tap that when entering archon and then not have to think about it again.

I was considering using Obsidian (my follower has it atm) but went for the CoE because it was Ancient, I'll try it the other way around. I'll give that a shot re the gloves too. The key binds sounds like a good plan, having a uniform key mapping between the two forms should help I think.

Thanks for the advice :)

No probs.

From my understanding, it's only ideal to drop Obsidian (and Hydras) for CoE when you've gotten your CDR from other sources to a point where you can jump back into Archon within the 20sec window Swami gives you. Players who reach this then change Ray of Frost to the lightning arcane torrent and from Hydra to Blizzard with cost reduction rune. Aether Walker is needed for greater mobility to both get around and stun mobs (use APD bracers then for more defense than shields). You pretty much need CDR on all items that can roll it which is damn hard to do.

That actually makes it feel like a penalty when dying in GRs. Me likey!

Also worth noting is that set dungeons have now been bumped up to 5min now (they're 4.5min atm aren't they?). Should give a bit more breathing room for ones like the UE set dungeon.

I accidentally finished off the guardian achievement yesterday whilst mucking around on my new wizard, seems like I've done the set dungeon thingo

Currently sitting at around 1015 paragon and still chasing a few upgrades on the monk so I can start the push but lately have been distracted with the wizard. The lightning hydra build is OP as hell. Kitted out in non ancient gear with good stats and was able to smash out a 70. There is just something sooooo satisfying about everything insta-melting with that archon beam :D
